Moïchi (« we », « our », or « us ») is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information when you use the Moïchi iOS application.
Information We Collect
Data Stored Locally on Your Device
Moïchi stores all your journal entries, drawings, and preferences locally on your device using Apple’s SwiftData framework. This includes:
- Daily journal text entries
- Mood sketches (drawings)
- App preferences (theme selection, language)
- Premium purchase status
Important: We do not have access to this data. It remains entirely on your device and is protected by your device’s security features.
Purchase Information
When you purchase premium features, the transaction is processed by Apple through the App Store. We receive a transaction identifier to verify your purchase, but we do not collect or store your payment information. Apple’s privacy policy applies to all payment transactions.
Analytics
Moïchi does not collect any analytics, usage statistics, or tracking data. We do not use third-party analytics services.
How We Use Your Information
Since all your data is stored locally on your device, we do not use, process, or access any of your personal information or journal content.
Data Sharing and Third Parties
We do not share, sell, or transfer your data to third parties because we do not have access to your data. Your journal entries and drawings never leave your device unless you explicitly export them.
Data Security
Your data security is ensured by:
- Local Storage: All data is stored on your device using Apple’s secure SwiftData framework
- iOS Security: Your data is protected by your device’s passcode, Touch ID, or Face ID
- No Cloud Sync: By default, we do not sync your data to any cloud service
- iCloud Backup: If you have iCloud Backup enabled on your device, iOS may back up your Moïchi data to your personal iCloud account. This is controlled by your device settings, not by our app
Data Retention and Deletion
You have complete control over your data:
- Delete Individual Entries: Swipe to delete any journal entry within the app
- Delete All Data: Uninstalling the app will permanently delete all your local data
- Premium Status: Your premium purchase is tied to your Apple ID and is managed by Apple, not us
Children’s Privacy
Moïchi does not knowingly collect any information from children under the age of 13. The app can be used by all ages, and all data remains on the user’s device.
International Users
Moïchi is available worldwide. Since all data is stored locally on your device, no international data transfers occur.
Your Rights
You have complete control over your data:
- Right to access your data (it’s on your device)
- Right to delete your data (delete entries or uninstall the app)
- Right to export your data (use the PDF export feature)
Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by updating the « Last Updated » date at the top of this policy. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
