Privacy Policy – RingPop

Introduction

RingPop (« we », « our », or « us ») is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use our mobile application RingPop (the « App »).

The short version: We don’t collect your personal data. Your ringtones stay on your device.

Information We Do NOT Collect

RingPop is designed with privacy as a core principle. We do NOT collect, store, or transmit:

  • Personal information (name, email, phone number)
  • – Audio or video files you import
  • – Ringtones you create
  • – Usage analytics or behavior tracking
  • – Location data
  • – Contact information
  • – Device identifiers for our own purposes

All your content stays on your device. We have no servers that store your data.

Permissions We Request

RingPop requests only two iOS permissions, both required for the app’s core function of creating ringtones from your media:

  • Photos access — to let you import videos and audio from your photo library to turn into a ringtone.
  • Add to Photos — to let you save exported ringtones back to your device when you choose to.

RingPop never requests access to your microphone, camera, contacts, or location.

Third-Party Services

Advertising (Google AdMob)

RingPop displays advertisements provided by Google AdMob to keep the app free. RingPop only ever requests non-personalized ads — every ad request is explicitly flagged as non-personalized, so Google does not use your Advertising ID (IDFA) or any tracking-based profile to select ads for you. RingPop does not show an App Tracking Transparency prompt because it never asks for tracking permission in the first place.

To serve and measure these non-personalized ads, Google AdMob may still collect limited technical data such as:

  • General location (country/region)
  • Device information (model, OS version)
  • Ad request and frequency data (to avoid showing you the same ad too often)

This data is not linked to your identity for tracking purposes. You can remove ads entirely by purchasing RingPop Pro (one-time purchase).

App Store (Apple)

When you make a purchase (RingPop Pro), the transaction is handled entirely by Apple. We do not receive or store your payment information. See Apple’s Privacy Policy.

Data Storage

All ringtones and app data are stored locally on your device in the app’s sandboxed storage. We cannot access this data. If you delete the app, all locally stored ringtones are permanently deleted.

Children’s Privacy

RingPop does not knowingly collect information from children under 13. The app does not require any account creation or personal information to function.

Your Rights

Since we don’t collect personal data, there is no personal data to access, correct, or delete from our systems. Your ringtones are stored only on your device and can be deleted at any time through the app or by uninstalling it.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the « Last updated » date.
