Acceptance

By downloading, installing, or using Smart Rename (« the App »), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

2. The Service

Smart Rename is a macOS application for batch file renaming.

Free Version:

• Up to 10 files per operation

• 1 saved template

• All renaming rules included

Pro Version ($14.99):

• Unlimited files

• Unlimited templates

• Full history and undo

• Priority support

3. License

Grant

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App for personal or commercial purposes.

Restrictions

You may not:

• Copy, modify, or distribute the App

• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble

• Remove copyright notices

• Use for illegal purposes

• Resell or sublicense

• Circumvent limitations or protections

4. Purchases

One-Time Payment

Smart Rename Pro is a one-time purchase, not a subscription. Pay once, own forever.

Pricing

$14.99 USD (or local equivalent). Prices may change; existing purchases are not affected.

Processing

All purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store. We do not receive your payment details.

Refunds

Refunds are handled by Apple. Request within 30 days at reportaproblem.apple.com.

5. Intellectual Property

Our Property

The App, its code, design, icons, and content are owned by Waikuu and protected by intellectual property laws.

Trademarks

« Smart Rename » and « Waikuu » are our trademarks. Use requires written permission.

Your Files

You retain all rights to your files. We claim no ownership of content you rename.

6. Disclaimers

« As Is »

The App is provided « as is » without warranties of any kind, express or implied.

Backup Your Files

We strongly recommend backing up your files before batch renaming. We are not responsible for data loss.

No Guarantee

We do not guarantee the App will be error-free or uninterrupted.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

• We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages

• Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the App

• Some jurisdictions do not allow these limitations; they may not apply to you

8. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold Waikuu harmless from claims arising from:

• Your use of the App

• Your violation of these Terms

• Your violation of any third-party rights

9. Privacy

Your use is subject to our Privacy Policy, which is part of these Terms.

10. Updates

App Updates

We may release updates via the App Store. Updates may modify features or fix bugs.

Terms Updates

We may modify these Terms. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

11. Termination

By You

Uninstall the App at any time.

By Us

We may terminate your license for Terms violations. Upon termination, delete the App.

12. General

Entire Agreement

These Terms are the complete agreement between you and Waikuu regarding the App.

Severability

If any provision is invalid, others remain in effect.

No Waiver

Not enforcing a right doesn’t waive it.

Assignment

You may not assign these Terms. We may assign them freely.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of France. Disputes shall be resolved in Paris courts.
