Privacy Policy for Work Hours Calculator

The short version

Work Hours Calculator collects nothing. There is no account, no server of ours, no advertising, no analytics and no tracking of any kind. The app contains no third-party software development kits at all. Everything you record stays on your device, unless you switch on iCloud sync or export a file yourself.

1. Who we are

Work Hours Calculator is published by Waikuu Digital Studio. For anything in this policy, write to support@waikuu.com.

2. What we collect

Nothing. We do not ask you to create an account, we do not operate a server that receives your data, and we have no way of identifying you or your device. We do not collect your name, your email, your location, your contacts, your IP address, your advertising identifier (IDFA) or any device identifier.

This is why our App Store privacy label reads « Data Not Collected ». It is literal, not a simplification.

3. What is stored on your device, and where

• Your hours and clients are written to the app's own storage, protected by iOS file encryption (NSFileProtectionComplete), which keeps them unreadable while the device is locked.
• Your preferences — rounding, auto-break, time format, currency, hourly rate — are stored in the app's standard settings store.
• Your Pro status is stored in the iOS Keychain.
• A shared container lets the app and its widget read the same data on your device. It never leaves the device.

Deleting the app removes all of it from the device.

4. iCloud sync (optional, off by default)

If you turn on iCloud sync, your days and clients are copied to your own private iCloud storage so your devices stay in step. That data belongs to your Apple Account and is handled by Apple under Apple's privacy policy. We have no access to it, no key to it, and no way to read it. Turning the setting off stops the copying; removing the data from iCloud is done through your Apple Account settings.

5. Purchases

Subscriptions and the Lifetime unlock are sold and processed by Apple through StoreKit. Apple handles the payment; we never see your card, your billing address or your Apple Account. What reaches the app is a yes-or-no answer about whether a purchase is currently active.

6. Siri, widgets and Live Activities

If you use the app's Siri shortcuts, widgets or Live Activities, those run on your device against your local data. Anything you say to Siri is handled by Apple under Apple's own policy, not by us.

7. What you export or share

PDF and CSV exports, and anything you share from the app, are created on your device and go only where you send them. We are not copied on any of it, and nothing is uploaded in the background.

8. Advertising, analytics and tracking

There are none. The app displays no advertising, contains no advertising or analytics software, and does not track you across apps or websites. It does not use Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt, because it has nothing to ask permission for.

Earlier versions of this app, up to June 2026, did show banner advertising through Google AdMob. That was removed entirely — along with the software behind it — and this policy was rewritten to match.

9. Data retention

Your entries stay until you delete them. Nothing expires on its own and nothing is trimmed in the background. Deleting the app removes everything stored on the device.

10. Children's privacy

The app is a work tool and is not directed at children. Since it collects nothing, it collects nothing from children either.

11. Your rights

Privacy laws such as the GDPR give you rights of access, correction, deletion and portability over personal data held about you. We hold none, so there is nothing for us to retrieve, correct or delete — and no request to make. Your data is in your hands: it lives on your device, you can export it as CSV or PDF at any time, and deleting the app erases it. Data you chose to sync sits in your own iCloud storage, under your Apple Account controls.

12. Changes to this policy

If the app ever starts collecting anything, this page will say so before it happens, and the App Store privacy label will be updated at the same time. The date at the top tells you when this text last changed.
